Basics & Beyond is a progressive, scenario-based training class designed for dogs and handlers who are ready to take their skills beyond the basics and into real life. This is where we intentionally push training to higher levels of difficulty, helping owners build the confidence to take their dogs anywhere.
These classes are built around real-world scenarios, not predictable drills. Each session creates controlled but challenging environments that mimic everyday situations, such as crowded spaces, moving distractions, pressure, excitement, and unpredictability. The goal is not perfection in a quiet setting, but reliability when it matters most.
Classes are capped at just 10 participants, ensuring every dog and handler receives individual guidance and coaching within a structured group environment. Multiple scenarios are set up each session, allowing dogs to practise obedience, engagement, impulse control, and emotional regulation under increasing levels of distraction. Owners are welcome to bring multiple dogs to the session and rotate through them one at a time over the course of the hour
Basics & Beyond is only available for dogs who have completed Back to Basics, In-home Training Session or Board & Train Program and are ready to strengthen their skills under pressure. Training focuses on empowering handlers with the knowledge, timing, and confidence to apply their dog’s training in real-life situations, not just in class.
